Here at Pine Bluff First Assembly, we are many things -
passionate, devoted, loving - just to mention a few. But
most of all, we are family
- a family that loves God and
people.
Because the people make the church great - not the physical
structures, we invite you to become familiar with the people
who are part of our church family and celebrate the
ministries that you will also see represented.
It is our prayer that this will serve as a reminder of God's
incredible blessings to us, to our families, and to this
congregation. We hope that the few pictures you see here can
give you a glimpse of who we are and what we are all about.
Music Ministry It is the deliberate intention of music ministry at First Assembly to encourage vocalists and musicians to prayerfully seek God's personal anointing, to purposefully contribute to the corporate worship experience by helping to prepare the hearts of people to respond to the Word of God, and to powerfully facilitate praise and worship in diverse styles that will appeal to multi-cultural and multi-generational believers. Furthermore, these objectives apply not only to corporate worship services on site but also to various ministry opportunities that can impact our community and Southeast Arkansas.
Senior Adults MinistrySenior adults are important to the life of every church. The abundant life in Christ expressed in John 10:10 defines how many of our senior adults are living their lives
"The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full." - John 10:10
Adult MinistryIt is easy to erroneously assume adults have fewer needs because our world is so technologically advanced or that they are just too busy to participate in ministry options, but First Assembly practices a strong commitment to minister to the diverse needs of adults - regardless of age, gender, or special circumstances.
Student MinistryFor students, for God, for life . . . these are the reasons FUEL Student Ministries exists. FUEL, a ministry of First Assembly of God, is dedicated specifically to students in grades 7 through 12, addresses issues that face today's students, and emphasizes that God is the ultimate Source of answers in today's world full of questions. The primary focus of FUEL is to turn the hearts of young people to God and to encourage them to worship God in a service that is both culturally and spiritually powerful, while also providing an opportunity for students to build relationships with other Christian students in a socially safe atmosphere.
Children's MinistryUnder the direction of Pastor Tim Shurley, separate children’s services are conducted at 8:30 and 11:00 A.M. each Sunday morning. (Christian education classes for children are offered at 10:00 A.M. during the regular Sunday school hour.) These services are designed to lead children to Jesus and facilitate growth and spiritual maturity in a high-energy and age-appropriate format.
Missions' MinistryOur Missions' Ministry seeks to establish healthy, growing Christian fellowships and ministries wherever they are needed. We desire to be a part of what God is doing all over the world in bringing the lost to Christ.
