With more than 20 years of experience in children’s ministry, Rev. Mary March exudes an excitement and passion for children. Like Jesus when He said, “Let the little children come unto me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these” (Matthew 19:14, NIV), Mary wants children to understand that they can have a genuine relationship with Christ and that they can serve God and fulfill an awesome role in His work - now.
Pastor Mary is a certified minister with the Assemblies of God and has a diverse ministry portfolio. She is a zealous advocate for children in the church and in the community as well. In addition to various church ministry positions that she has held, she has received many opportunities to work in various school districts and lead community outreaches. Her enthusiasm is contagious, and her commitment is unparalleled. Pastor Mary’s encompassing love for people and specific love for children drive her to exhaust all means of changing lives with the story of Jesus. Sensing a kinship between her own personal ministry mandate and the vision of Pastor Gary Bell and Pine Bluff First Assembly, Pastor Mary desires to equip and challenge children and adults alike to impact Pine Bluff and Southeast Arkansas.
Pastor Mary and her husband, Barry, have been married for 19 years and have 2 wonderful daughters, Catherine and Annaleace. The entire family is excited about their move from Springfield, Missouri, to Pine Bluff, Arkansas - believing that God has sent them to this area “for such a time as this” (Esther 4:14b). Pastor Mary enthusiastically affirms that God has specifically gifted her family with diverse ministry talents that are a blessing to her.
