Pastor Tim Bias represents the best possible mix of quality formal training, natural musical gifting, beneficial experience, and amazing accomplishments. A gifted musician and vocalist whose resume reads like the introduction for a professional musician’s lifetime achievement award, Pastor Tim believes that music “is simply a divinely created vehicle to usher” worshipers “into God’s presence,” and he certainly encourages that kind of encounter with God. Not only does he possess all of the skills to lead worshipers to a new level of intimacy with God through music and anointed lyrics but also the humility to lead worshipers to focus on God – rather than a platform performance. 

 

Since receiving his Bachelor of Education degree (with a double major in voice and classical guitar) from Evangel University in Springfield, Missouri, Pastor Tim has spent a total of twenty-seven years in full-time music ministry (previously serving in Hot Springs, Arkansas; Little Rock, Arkansas; and Lehigh, Florida). Far beyond what education can facilitate, his remarkable talents and diverse experiences have uniquely prepared him to minister effectively across generational and cultural lines in a variety of styles and venues. 

 

Not only is his cumulative experience extremely rich in diversity but also his personal zeal motivates him to serve the kingdom of God by “equipping others” to excel in worship ministry. In fact, Pastor Tim is a phenomenal motivator and teacher – gifted in teaching voice, guitar, and bass guitar; effective in developing and growing choirs (tripling the choir in his former music pastorate), ensembles, praise teams, and orchestras (including experience in public schools); and experienced in directing choirs and bands, as well as musicals and dramas for all age groups. He even started a music school with an enrollment of fifty-five students.  

 

Furthermore, he composes, arranges, and scores music (sometimes in collaboration with his wife), has served as a clinician for music conferences and training seminars, has been instrumental in hosting live recording concerts with Hosanna Integrity artists, and has been a contributing writer for Brentwood-Benson (Nashville, TN).

 

Pastor Tim’s wife, Leonna, is both his “best friend” and his partner in ministry. She is a gifted vocalist and pianist, who began playing in church when she was only five. They have twin sons, Brooks and Grant, who are already talented musicians themselves.
